HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
Hydraulic systems are the most common components in small- and large-scale productions. Oil is an incompressible fluid making it indispensable for transferring movements or forces, even of considerable magnitude. The forces involved can be extreme and consequently so are the stresses on the circuit components, from hydraulic valves to pumps.
Lubricant analysis allows us to:
- Check for metal wear due to the high pressures on hydraulic systems.
- Monitor pollution from both solids (e.g. dust, sand, sludge) and liquids (mainly water but also from mixing incorrect oils), which can cause systems deposits and blockages, breakages, and consequent downtime.
- Monitor the overall lubricant efficiency, especially when exposed to higher than average operating temperatures.
